Stack here means language, framework, database, infrastructure, and how the team works day to day. That affects delivery timeline, hiring, cloud cost, and what you can change in six months without stopping the product.

The problem leads

A high-concurrency real-time system, an internal CRM, and a marketplace need different things. The question I use: was this technology built for the kind of load and flow you have?

What the team already knows

A new stack on a tight deadline is a bet. Sometimes it pays off. On most projects that land here, a small team prefers to ship with what they already know and learn one piece at a time.

Ecosystem and hiring

Mature libraries, usable documentation, and people available in the market reduce friction. Niche technology can solve a specific case; recruiting and long-term support belong in the same spreadsheet.

Total cost, not just the first sprint

Infrastructure, licenses, maintenance, and market rates for that stack all count. Cheap development upfront with expensive operations later shows up often in the projects we review.

A path to scale

Some stacks scale horizontally without much surgery. Others need a redesign early. You do not need to design for ten million users on day one; you need to know where the limit shows up and what changes when it does.
